About Entropy Garden

Entropy Garden is a generative art engine that translates the Shannon entropy of your typing into living visual ecosystems.

Shannon entropy measures the unpredictability (information content) of a text. Repeated, predictable patterns produce low entropy. Random, varied input produces high entropy.

How it works:

• Low entropy (repetitive text like "aaaa") → crystalline geometric structures, hexagonal grids, sharp ordered patterns
• Medium entropy (normal sentences) → organic branching trees, flowing curves, cellular colonies
• High entropy (random characters, mixed symbols) → wild particle storms, chaotic fractals, explosive growth

Character classes shape color and behavior:

• Vowels (a,e,i,o,u) → warm reds/oranges, radial expansion
• Consonants → cool blues/greens, structural branching
• Spaces → green growth pulses, new colony seeds
• Punctuation → yellow/white bursts, energy releases
• Numbers → metallic silvers, crystalline accents
• Special chars → electric purples, mutation events

Try typing a poem, a block of code, random keys, or the same letter over and over — each produces a dramatically different garden.
