Perspective drawing is one of the most fundamental skills in visual art, architecture, and design. While digital drawing apps offer perspective guides, they're usually locked behind expensive software or limited to specific tools. This project fills that gap with a free, focused, and fully customizable perspective grid builder that runs entirely in your browser.
An interactive perspective drawing aid that lets you set up 1-point, 2-point, or 3-point perspective grids with complete control. Drag vanishing points directly on the canvas, adjust the horizon line, customize grid density and colors, choose canvas presets (A4, A3, Letter, 16:9, and more), and export your grid as a PNG to use as a reference layer in your artwork.
The tool uses Canvas 2D projection math to draw perspective-correct grid lines. For 1-point perspective, all depth lines converge to a single vanishing point on the horizon. For 2-point, two vanishing points define the left/right convergence. For 3-point perspective, a third vertical vanishing point adds the dramatic "worm's eye" or "bird's eye" effect. The floor grid uses perspective subdivision: equal intervals along the edge are projected through vanishing points to create the correct foreshortening.
