What We Own

  • The writing. All commentary, headlines, and sign-offs on this site are original works of 67 CYNIC. © 2026 67 CYNIC. Quoting a line or two with a link is fine. Republishing a whole post is not.
  • The name and the look. “67 CYNIC”, the byline prof.Brainrot, and the site design (including the aggressively mid-2000s parts) belong to us. Do not dress your site up like ours and act surprised when we notice.
  • The illustrations. Every hero image on this site is an original, AI-generated work in a gritty 2000s tabloid-caricature style, made for this site. They are not the photographs they are responding to. The photographs belong to the people who took them; our versions are new works made for commentary and satire, the way a caricature in a newspaper is new work even when it is obviously about someone.

What We Do Not Own

  • Facts. Who opened with what number, who said what, which skirt looked like what. Facts cannot be owned, and we are too lazy to try. Our posts are commentary built on top of reported events, and the underlying reporting belongs to the outlets that did it.
  • Third-party content. When we quote, link, or reference other media, that is commentary and criticism. If you believe a specific use has overstepped fair use, contact us and a human will actually read it.
  • Celebrities. No one owns a celebrity, including the celebrity. We point at them, we do not own them.

What You May Do

  • Quote short excerpts of any post, with a link back to the original. Go ahead. The links help us; the snark helps you.
  • Hotlinking our images, scraping the site, or republishing posts in full is not included in that permission.

Takedowns and Disputes

If you believe we have misused your work, write to editor@67cynic.com with the URL of the page, what you own, and what you want to happen. A person reads these. Most takedown requests are answered within a few days; the answers are honest, which is rarer than you would think.
