Privacy Policy

The short version: this site reads as much of you as a website can read, which is not much, and it keeps almost none of it.

What We Collect

  • Server logs. Like any website, our server records standard access data (IP address, browser user agent, pages requested, timestamps). These logs are used for operational purposes: keeping the site running, blocking spam, and counting how many people show up for the drama.
  • Comments. If you leave a comment, we store your display name, your comment, and — if you provide it — your email address. We never display your email address. We keep it so that spam from your own IP can be rate-limited and so the comment can be tied to the person who wrote it if moderation is ever needed.
  • Nothing else. No accounts. No profiles. No tracking of you across other sites. We do not sell, rent, or trade anything about you. The business model is having opinions.

What We Do Not Do

  • We do not use cross-site tracking cookies.
  • We do not sell personal data to third parties. There is no inventory to sell.
  • We do not send marketing emails. We do not have your email unless you typed it into a comment form, and even then, it is for moderation, not a newsletter. There is no newsletter. The posts are the newsletter.

Cookies

The site sets a session cookie used for the comment form (spam protection and duplicate-comment prevention) and, for staff, the admin login. Close the browser and the session cookie goes with it.

Third-Party Content

Posts may link to or embed third-party content (videos, images, other sites). Once you leave this site, the privacy practices of wherever you land are governed by that site, not by us. We judge celebrity PR for a living; we cannot contractually police the internet.

Your Rights

If you left a comment and want it removed, contact us (see the Terms page for the address) and it will be deleted. If you want to know what we have on file, ask, and we will tell you. The answer will be shorter than you expect.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. We will not email you about it, because we do not have your email.
